Edwin and Esha's Cross Cultural Christian Wedding

Edwin and Esha’s cross cultural wedding celebrations spanned two days, including a super fun sangeeth, a church ceremony and reception. Each of their events had a sign outside the venue that said “We’ve waited 9 years to party with you. Please party accordingly!” And everyone took that instruction very very seriously.

The wedding ceremony took place on Valentines Day at Adonai Church in Cox Town. I was pretty nervous, as this was my first time covering a Christian wedding! To make sure I understood all the nuances of the ceremony and also meet the couple’s friends and family, I had been to the rehearsal a few days before.

Every detail from the movement of the little flower girls to the wedded couple’s exit was meticulously planned, making it easy for me to know how to place myself through the ceremony. From the two days, the most exciting part to photograph was everyone buzzing around the newly married couple outside the church. I still wonder how Esha’s wedding dress train was intact after that!
